Course Description

French Advanced 2 is designed for students who already have a strong foundation in grammar and a solid command of a variety of tenses.

Ideal for learners aiming to deepen their fluency, this course continues the progression through the Alter Ego textbook series while creating space for dynamic conversation and cultural exploration.

With an emphasis on both structured language development and creative expression, students will refine their listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills in a supportive and engaging environment.

Students will not only work through the textbook but also participate in discussions that branch out from the book’s topics.

The course incorporates a wide range of authentic materials such as songs, videos, and personal presentations to enrich learning and expose students to real-world language use.

Through regular speaking practice and multimedia resources, learners are encouraged to think critically, express personal opinions, and grow their confidence in using French in a variety of settings.

Course Structure

Each week, students will work through units in the Alter Ego textbook, focusing on grammar reinforcement, vocabulary development, and communicative tasks.

Lessons regularly incorporate songs, short films, interviews, and current events to encourage conversation and expand cultural knowledge.

Learners will be invited to prepare and share short personal presentations or lead class discussions on relevant themes.

Listening comprehension and reading activities will be paired with grammar reviews and written exercises, creating a well-rounded and immersive learning experience.
