Take your first steps into the wonderful world of Patchwork Quilting. Using traditional patterns, with simple, easy to grasp lesson content from your tutor, you will be 'hooked' on this age-old craft by completing your first lap-size quilt of approximately 150cm square. Start with learning Patchwork Quilting and who knows where it will take you! Full written instructions provided as well as personal help every step of the way. As an added bonus, if you wish, learn QAYG, that's quilt as you go, so that you will always be able to easily turn your projects into that final quilt.

Your tutor is Shirlz Cook

Shirlz Cook has been teaching at WEA since 1994. 

Shirlz is passionate about teaching and quilting and has taught fabric crafts and papercraft at both WEA and TAFE for many years. Being creative, she is also a published author and freelance editor and ghostwriter.

She has a Certificate of Fashion Design from TAFE, is an experienced quilter of 35 years, and ran her own business as a Bridal Dressmaker for 10 years.
