In this fun and easy to follow watercolour basics course you will be introduced to the world of watercolour. Starting with the essential tools and types of paper, paints, brushes and other materials required you will master all different watercolour painting techniques and colour schemes. Designed for beginners, even those more experienced painters will find plenty of new tips to enhance their watercolour works. Materials cost approximately $80 and will need to be purchased by the student prior to the course.
Victoria Lowery MA VisArt, GradDipEdSec has been teaching at WEA since April 2011.
Victoria is passionate about the creative process, and has been drawing, painting, working with textiles and designing from an early age, influenced by her father who was an artist and graphic designer.
Victoria emigrated from Ukraine as an established artist and graduate of L’viv National Academy of Arts, and came to South Australia in 2011 after living and exhibiting her artwork in Austin, Texas in the United States for two years.
While teaching at the WEA, Victoria completed a Master’s Degree in Visual Art and Design and Illustration and later, a Diploma in Secondary Education at UniSA.
Victoria teaches a range of WEA art and craft courses including acrylic and watercolour painting, drawing, textiles and fibre design.
