Simplifying Aged Care
Course Description
Navigating the aged care system can be one of the most emotionally challenging and overwhelming experiences a family faces – especially when you're watching a loved one change and aren't sure where to begin.
This informative and interactive session is designed to empower you with the knowledge, contacts, and confidence needed to make informed decisions about in-home help or moving into an aged care home.
Whether you plan to manage the process yourself or would prefer to outsource the research and paperwork to professionals, this session will give you a clear understanding of your options and where to find trusted support.
Families often find themselves lost in a sea of conflicting advice from well-meaning friends, relatives, and even strangers. One person may bear the bulk of the responsibility while others watch from the sidelines, adding pressure without offering help.
In this course, you’ll learn how to cut through the noise, avoid misinformation, and access professionals who specialise in different areas of aged care.
While the presenter is not an aged care expert, they’ll guide you to those who are – experts whose guidance can reduce stress, save time, and help you make the best decisions for your loved one’s care journey.
Handouts will be provided, so please bring a pen to take notes.
