Your Tutor is Carey Hauri

Carey Hauri has been teaching at WEA since 2025.

I am a Resilience, Mindset and Wellbeing Specialist, helping individuals and groups develop the mindset, skills and strategies to better cope with the stresses, adversities and challenges of life.

The learning and coaching I provide draws on wisdom gained from 40 plus years of life and learning, and more than 20 years of experience working in training, education and coaching.

During my professional life I have enjoyed working in a variety of other roles including English teacher, journalist/media liaison, business mentor, training coordinator, vocational trainer (business, management and leadership) and Success and Wellbeing Services Team Leader/Coach.

In 2015, I published my first book, “Life Salsa: Life Lessons from the Dance Floor”.

Born in Switzerland, I immigrated with my family to Australia when I was six years old. I call Australia home but I have also lived in Switzerland, Hungary, South Africa and Spain, visited more than 30 other countries and learnt four languages. I love being with people of all ages, cultures and backgrounds!

When I'm not working, you might find me meditating in the peace of the early morning, enjoying a cappuccino with a friend, sitting in a favourite cafe absorbed in a book or walking at the beach at sunset.
