In this course you will explore Wabi Sabi art techniques and philosophy through mastering exciting and relaxing art projects. Using mediums such as acrylic, plaster, charcoal, natural raw and organic fibre all blended carefully together on canvas or cardboard you will create a desirable piece of artwork in the Wabi Sabi style. Approximate cost for all materials $60. Some materials you can purchase directly from your tutor during a course.
Victoria Lowery MA VisArt, GradDipEdSec has been teaching at WEA since April 2011.
Victoria is passionate about the creative process, and has been drawing, painting, working with textiles and designing from an early age, influenced by her father who was an artist and graphic designer.
Victoria emigrated from Ukraine as an established artist and graduate of L’viv National Academy of Arts, and came to South Australia in 2011 after living and exhibiting her artwork in Austin, Texas in the United States for two years.
While teaching at the WEA, Victoria completed a Master’s Degree in Visual Art and Design and Illustration and later, a Diploma in Secondary Education at UniSA.
Victoria teaches a range of WEA art and craft courses including acrylic and watercolour painting, drawing, textiles and fibre design.
